Having extracted over 3 million tonnes of coal from surface mines in Fife in the two decades up to 2006, we recognised that the UK's future energy requirements would be increasingly met from cleaner fuels. The company is now focused primarily on renewable energy projects and has built a successful track record in developing wind farms and constructing hydro projects.

In addition to operating a wind farm in Northern Ireland, the company is involved in development of wind farm sites and is a member of the British Wind Energy Association and Scottish Renewables. We have obtained consent for schemes totalling 82MW at Toddleburn near Oxton in the Scottish Borders, Bankend Rig near Darvel in Ayrshire and at Calliachar in Perthshire.

The company is interested in developing, solely or in joint venture, hydro schemes in the UK. We have recently completed construction of the Cia Aig project for RWE in Lochaber near Fort William.
