This straightforward project followed a few months after our advance site reclamation work at the same location for Clydeport.
Dandara were Project Manager for Kippax Limited in their £70million development to create 770 apartments on the north edge of the Clyde, at the location of the former Meadowside granaries.
We first constructed a piling mat using material stockpiled in the previous phase, to allow the installation of a bentonite slurry and secant pile wall around the full perimeter of the development. Following completion of the wall, we followed on to excavate the first third of the new basement void and to form access haul roads.
Ancillary tasks included the installation of temporary surface water drainage and a later return visit to backfill the new structural concrete walls of the new basements.
