South Street, Glasgow Harbour - Phase 1

This typical reclamation project saw us break out and remove concrete floor slabs and heavily-reinforced foundations to a minimum depth of 1.5 metres below original ground level. Larger structures were removed below that nominal limit.

 

The excavated concrete was crushed and re-used on the site, either by spreading immediately or by stockpiling for later use elsewhere on the development. Reinforcing steel was taken off site for recycling.
