Landfills have historically supplied a substantial proportion of our workload and we have completed more than 30 such schemes since our first involvement in the mid 1980s. Indeed, our single largest project to date has been in the waste management sector - an 18-month project worth £10 million at eight remote locations in Argyll & Bute region.
In addition to the advantages of our own large fleet of plant, we have the experienced staff and supply chain network that allow us to be competitive and effective in this specialist sector of the market. We have experience of all of the current technologies employed and we constructed the only cell for Stabilised Non-Reactive Hazardous Waste in Scotland.
We believe that our own direct experience as a landfill operator has helped us to carry out construction activities in active landfills without causing avoidable disruption to the operation of the facility. |
